Notalex Service provides manual court transcription for Malaysian legal teams. Our founders bring legal training and first-hand experience with demanding multi-party matters to the service.

Each recording is assigned to a transcriber who prepares the transcript and reviews it again against the audio. The experience behind the service and the steps below explain how that work is carried out.

Legal trainingOur founders’ legal training informs their understanding of proceedings, legal terminology and the context of a hearing.

Multi-party mattersTheir first-hand experience includes commercial disputes with counterclaims and numerous speakers, where following who says what requires close attention.

Language and contextWe discuss the languages in your recording before assigning a transcriber. Our service supports Malay, English and Chinese, including hearings that switch between languages.

Prepare the transcript
The assigned transcriber works from your recording, organising the case details, attendance and spoken exchanges into the document.
Listen again and check
That same transcriber reviews the draft against the recording, checking speaker attribution, wording and document structure. This is a second pass by the person who prepared it.
Deliver the documents
